THE WHITE MAGIC TEACHINGS

A six part course in the Development of Consciousness Through the

Techniques of White Magic and its Practical Applications in our Daily Lives.

These seminars require a commitment to all 6 classes in the program.

After the 2nd session, no one can join the group as unlike the astrology work that is open to anyone whenever, the White Magic is group work and a certain consciousness is in the process of being developed based on the material and the order in which the material will be taught. Therefore it will be expected that after the 1st session, people make their commitment to the entire six sessions. Of course, CD's will be given free of charge to those who sign up for the entire course and who have to miss a session, while anyone attending may purchase the CD's. A diploma will be presented at completion of the course from the Institute.

It will also be suggested that the WM group organize itself so that it may meet at least one time between the formal sessions. My experience is that there are always people who come forth to organize this (for the group has to do this organizing on its own).

Alan (Mr. Aries!) will give it the initial impulse and the group will take it from there. This has always met with success in the past.

Brief course outline:

Rule One: The true Magician of Light always stands in a position of integrated wholeness and never scatters his or her vital energy. S/He functions at all times as the soul while maintaining conscious contact with the personality, the reflection of the Higher Self.

The book, "A Treatise on White Magic," by Alice Bailey contains a treasury of wisdom. Presented through a set of Fifteen Rules, the White Magic Teachings [provide instructions, structure, and support for all men and women seeking to unfold the mysteries and gifts of the soul into their own and other people's daily lives. In essence, we can say that these properties of the Higher Self may be summarized into one word--consciousness. And consciousness is incarnating love.

"A Treatise on White Magic" requires no small measure of translation and interpretation for it is as it should be a very challenging text, one that is not meant for any but the serious student and seeker. It requires translation because it is written first of all, in an arcane language more suitable to the drawing rooms and study halls of the late 19th century than to the pace and social orientation of the early 21st. In addition, the book also contains a myriad of highly esoteric phrases and terminology that are highly unintelligible to those individuals who have not studied Vedanta, Theosophy, and the more esoteric facets of Buddhism, Kabbalah, and Christianity. The text also requires interpretation as the very language is such that without detailed explanations, few people no matter how dedicated, will be able to penetrate into the core and fabric of a Teaching that releases, uplifts, restores and spiritually advances its students. Language must be a vehicle that does not block the practitioner but instead leads him or her to greater intuitive insights.

It has been now nearly forty years that I have been working in the fields of astrology and esotericism. In the past fifteen years, I have been intimately connected to the teaching and practice of White Magic, sharing its wisdom in five countries and three languages. I have noted with tremendous awe, satisfaction and gratitude, just how much White Magic has benefited the lives of those who have committed themselves to its study. Yet the reality of White Magic is often obscured by its very name. So many people come to its doors thinking that once entered, it will be all "incantations and spells." This couldn't be farther from the truth. As a result those individuals seeking spiritual sensationalism and psychic phenomena will be disappointed by White Magic's total lack of glamour. It is in fact the magic that is naturally contained within the Path of the seeker of light. In fact White Magic could be easily and correctly called "Light Magic. Thus those in search of a solid spiritual system and a firm orientation to the structure and function of consciousness will find themselves immediately at home.

My function as a facilitator, translator, and interpreter of these Teachings is to bring this work out of linguistic obscurity and into the light of practical integration in the life of the sincere spiritual student. In this respect, I would like to share with you seven basic objectives of White Magic:

1. To clarify the structure and to bring understanding of the relationship between the soul and the personality.
2. To engage the practitioner in those studies, meditations, discussions, and practices that bring about a greater awareness of oneself.
3. To teach and experience the relationship existing between Spirit, consciousness, and the material plane so that on may function with greater awareness on all planes of life.
4. To focus and define the nature of one's sense of service to humanity and the various forms that this service may take.
5. To share the meaning and importance of the Chakra system and the true science of astrology and their relationship to consciousness.
6. To become a conscious manifester of the intent of the soul in our practical life experience.
7. White Magic is found wherever the heart is fused with the mind, Spirit with matter, the soul with the personality--White Magic is consciousness itself.

Certificates:

A Certificate of Completion by The Australian Institute for the Development of Consciousness will be issued to all participants who have registered and completed all seven sessions of the course. Students who have completed this course are eligible to take the ISAR (International Society for Astrological Research) qualifying exam for professional astrologers.
