Course Focus:
The course is designed for people who have some grounding in the fundamentals of astrology. Our purpose is to train individuals who are either preparing themselves for a career as professional astrologers or those who wish to perfect and upgrade their understanding of this ancient science.
In this respect, our focus is two-fold. Firstly, to present a highly structured system of approach to the natal horoscope that will perfect the true art of astrology—synthesis. We will thus be training students to integrate their already awakened intuition within the context of formal, astrological education. Second, to train participants in the ability to counsel and support clients.
CD's will be made of all sessions and will be made available at no cost to those students registered for the entire course who have to miss a session. CD's will be made available for sale to all participating students.
Certificates: A Certificate of Completion by The Australian Institute for the Development of Consciousness will be issued to all participants who have registered and completed all seven sessions of the course. Students who have completed this course are eligible to take the ISAR (International Society for Astrological Research) qualifying exam for professional astrologers.

- Techniques of Prognostication (“Directions”): a complete overview of the major techniques used to analyse planetary cycles. We will also be looking at the system of “electional” astrology: the casting of a chart for a special event.

– The interpretation and synthesis of the natal chart, the techniques to prognostication and counselling. During this spring seminar, Alan will present a practical and solid method for the blending of the nature of the natal chart with the unfolding cycles of planetary movements. We will also be advising our students as to how to present the information contained in highly stressful and challenging transits and progressions, as well as to how best to work with the planets when the "heavens open" and great opportunities come to us..
— will present models and ideas for effective counselling of relationship issues in client work. We will explore “Relationship” and “Family Systems Theory” for insight into fundamental principles at work in relationships. And we will use charts from the group members to practice the art of chart comparison (Synastry) and the mid-point or Composite charts. (Please present charts on clear transparency.)
